The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2022 is returning to Singapore and will be held in Sentosa, an island on the southern coast. The international competition is set to kick off in May, gathering squads from all over the world to compete for the title of world champions. The play-ins will start on May 14 and the grand finals are scheduled for May 21.

FFWS 2022 Sentosa will receive 22 teams from the 13 Free Fire regions. Squads will qualify for the FFWS by the regional Free Fire tournaments. The regions are North America, Pakistan, Brazil, Taiwan, Indonesia, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Latin America, Malaysia & Cambodia & Philippines (MCP), Vietnam, India, Latin America, and Europe.

The Brazilian Free Fire League (LBFF) will be back in 2022 with a prize pool of $300,000. Starting this year, the LBFF will also be broadcast live on cable and pay television, in addition to Garena’s official channels. The competition will also now have three rounds of weekly matches on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Starting on Feb. 5, the LBFF Seven will gather the first division teams to battle for a spot in the Free Fire World Series (FFWS). The international competition for Garena’s battle royale is set to happen in May. With the grand finals on April 16, the first edition of the competition will have a prize pool of over $130,000. The champions will take home $18,500, while the second and third place get $15,000 and $13,000, respectively. Teams who finish the finals from fourth to 12th will receive approximately $9,500 each.

They also took home the prize of almost $19,000. The final stage put the 12 best first division teams to battle in nine matches. Squads received bonus points based on their performance during the previous stage.

The Brazilian Free Fire League (LBFF) will now be streamed live on TikTok. Beginning with the sixth round of the competition, which will happen on Oct. 2 and 3, all matches can be watched on Free Fire Brazil’s official TikTok account. This also includes the grand final on Oct. 30, which will be held with no audience due to the health protocols recommended by local authorities.

Every Saturday and Sunday, starting at 11am CT, there are six matches per day. The last three weeks of the tournament will also have matches on Mondays at 5pm CT. The competition gathers the 18 teams of the LBFF’s first division and has a prize pool of approximately $142,000. In the grand finals, only the best 12 teams of the season will compete for the title of champions.
