GTA 5 may be over 10 years old, but it’s still incredibly popular. On average, over 100,000 players still log in every day on Steam. Among them, some are daredevils who perform death-defying stunts, some are desperados who love to cause chaos and some are speed demons who love cars.
If you’re a speed demon, you probably love cars with a streamlined design, vibrant colors, and most importantly, a lot of horsepower. The faster they go, the better. You might own some of these cars in GTA 5 already, but if you don’t, this is a sign to treat yourself.
]]>Over the last few weeks, I found myself with some rare free time, so I booted up my PS4 and repurchased Resident Evil 5, which had been on sale for just $4.99—a complete steal. Midway through my replay, I started to truly appreciate the best bits of Resident Evil 5, such as the debonair dictator supervillain, the rich lore, and the surprisingly enduring visuals.
I wanted to relive my youth a little and revisit Resident Evil 5 to see if I could enjoy it as an adult as much as I did back then. I hadn’t picked up the game in over a decade, so I couldn’t remember much of the storyline, which suited me just fine. It felt like I was playing it for the first time again. I sacrificed a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, but I finally completed the game—and it’s still one of the best titles in the whole series.
]]>PlayStation users have plenty to look forward to this Halloween. A handful of remakes and remasters are on the horizon that will breathe new life into timeless classics, as well as a few recent releases that are still trending as must-haves for any proud PS5 owner.
Any video game would thrive on the PS5’s fast processing times, cutting-edge graphics, advanced haptics, and immersive 3D audio, but these enhancements take horror games in particular to the absolute max, making them more cinematic and, therefore, more impactful. Here are a few recommendations for horror games that would be especially rewarding to play on the PS5 during October in the lead-up to All Hallow’s Eve.
]]>The body cam horror game Zoochosis officially released at the end of September, throwing players back into a Zoonamoly-esque experience after only a few months hiatus in between. You play as a zookeeper named Paul who realizes that the animals in his care are starting to mutate.
As the animals begin to undergo some physical and behavioral changes, you are tasked with identifying the mutants among the masses, crafting vaccines, restoring order to the zoo (or chaos, depending on what ending you get), and uncovering the mystery of The Mother, all while avoiding the vicious creatures that will attack you on sight. Every species of animal has a unique physical appearance and jumpscare animation if you happen to get caught by them.
]]>It’s October, which means it’s officially Halloween, and there’s no better time to load up some of the best co-op horror games and play them with your pals. Some horror games are made to be played alone, but others are so much more enjoyable with company.
You can play Horror games all year round, but there’s something particularly immersive about loading them up during October when everything feels at its spookiest. Here are a few recommendations for co-op horror games to ring in October with all your teammates.
]]>Silent Hill is one of the biggest—if not the biggest—survival horror franchises ever made. In 25 years, the franchise has spawned more than a dozen games, with nine main games (including the Silent Hill 2 remake) and several spin-offs.
Over the years, Silent Hill titles became very hit or miss as the franchise took a few diversions. Here are (objectively) the best Silent Hill games when taking into consideration the franchise as a whole.
]]>In Escape from Tarkov, Skier can give you the quest Informed Means Armed, which requires you to plant three Wi-Fi Cameras at separate scouting locations in Woods, Customs, and Interchange. You must be at least Level 24 to access Informed Means Armed and it requires the purchase of at least three Wi-Fi Cameras.
The purchase of a Wi-Fi Camera in Escape From Tarkov is unlocked at Mechanic LL1. The Informed Means Armed quest is one of the tricker ones to complete, especially since the unique placement of the Wi-Fi Cameras requires you to maneuver around a little to plant them very specifically.
]]>Arachnophobia is no joke, so when Satisfactory fires a whole horde of Stingers after you, it’s understandable that you might feel the urge to exit the game immediately and never go back. Thankfully for players, there’s a dedicated Arachnophobia Mode to alleviate your concerns and make the experience more user-friendly.
By activating the “Arachnophobia Mode” option, you’ll be replacing the Stinger models with three sprites of different cat breeds, each one corresponding to a Stinger variant. an orange cat represents Baby Stingers, a black cat representing Alpha Stingers, and “lying black cats” represent Elite Gas Stingers.
]]>The Battery Bank was added to 7 Days to Die in A16 and allows you to power electrical components. It requires at least one battery, but can be expanded. Battery Banks are more effective when paired with a Solar Bank, which can recharge the batteries using solar power.
Battery Banks in 7 Days to Die play an important role in generating completely self-sufficient electrical circuits that make it easy to run the electrical components in your base. These systems are incredibly helpful, but obtaining Battery Banks isn’t as simple as just finding one in the wild. It isn’t immediately clear how to use them, either, as prepping Battery Banks for prolonged use isn’t as straightforward as hooking it up with cables.
]]>Oil Shale is one of the many resources found in 7 Days to Die, and you can use it to produce pure Oil and a Gas Can at a Chemistry Station. It can also increase the Science skill if an Oil Shale Boulder is cooked on a campfire.
If you combine Oil Shale with Crushed Sand and Small Stone, you can also make Asphalt, which has 10 percent more explosive resistance than Cobblestone. Oil Shale can be elusive unless you know where to look, so here are a few methods for farming the material in 7 Days to Die.
