Season 23 of Apex Legends, From the Rift, has treated players to maps both new and old, and the map rotation continues to throw new curveballs.

From the Rift took things back to where it all began in Apex with a day-one Kings Canyon when the season launched. Now in the second split of the season, things look a little bit more recent on the map front—although there is another classic LTM to enjoy thanks to the holiday-themed Winter’s Haunt event.

Like all of its legends, the weapons of Apex Legends are all viable in different situations. Even though one gun may have more damage per bullet than another, that stat is balanced by influences as disparate as ammo stack size, recoil, and reload time.

Even so, sometimes, it can be useful to know exactly what a particular weapon’s stats are. We’ve compiled the damage stats for each of the game’s weapons here, including related numbers like reload time and qualitative data like available fire modes. These stats assume white helmets for head damage and do not include an attachment or legend passive modifiers (i.e. Fortified). Reload times for many weapons also differ based on whether they’re reloaded while empty or with at least one round still in the weapon. Supply drop weapons have been marked with their original ammo type.

Heirlooms are easily the most sought-after cosmetic items in Apex Legends. They not only look impressive but also communicate to others you’re incredibly dedicated to the game. If you want a signature item for your main, you’ll want to take a look at all of the Heirlooms in Apex.

Most Heirlooms can be unlocked by purchasing all the event skins the Heirloom is attached to upon its release in Apex. You can also unlock Heirlooms after an event has ended by using Heirloom Shards—a special material that has less than a one percent chance of dropping in any given Apex pack.

Apex Legends is still kicking in 2024, long after it initially rocketed to popularity in 2019 on the back of its exciting battle royale gameplay and colorful cast of characters, each with unique abilities.

Unlike most battle royales, Apex asks players to choose a legend to go into battle with. It’s similar to games like Overwatch with each character having their own abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. There’s a starting set of free characters players can choose from, while many others can be purchased either with easy-to-earn in-game currency or your hard-earned cash.

A powerful supply drop weapon from a care package can make all the difference in a round of Apex Legends.

At the beginning of each Apex season, the development team cycles out the weapons contained within care packages and replaces some of them with new offerings. It’s important to know which weapons are only in care packages so you don’t go looking for something that isn’t currently in the floor loot pool. Starting in season 22, these Red-tier weapons can also spawn in special red Mythic loot bins after round two closes. These loot bins are marked on every surviving player’s map when they spawn.

Building a balanced team is important when in Apex Legends, as all Legends are also divided into five distinct classes, each with a unique passive trait: Assault, Support, Skirmisher, Recon, and Controller.

With each new season and Legend introduced to the Apex Games, characters are constantly changed and moved into different classes, with their role on the team defined more clearly and enabling a greater sense of team building when at the Legend select screen. Some legends offer direct benefits to their team through collectible items, while others provide exclusive information to decide where to find enemies and fight at. The first split’s battle pass for season 22 of Apex Legends still can’t be bought with Apex Coins, but it can be earned for free through completing a series of in-game challenges.

Attempting to buy the battle pass from the Store tab will only show two options for players this split: $10 for the Premium tier, and $20 for the Premium+ tier, with only real money options available. Following Respawn’s announcement they were walking back the controversial new battle pass system, the official social media account confirmed that Apex Coins cannot be used this split, as the battle pass will instead be free for all players to earn through playing any game mode and completing limited time challenges, with the new pricing system set to start in split two when ranked resets in the middle of the season.

The newest Apex Legends collection event brings royalty from beyond the realm, as Void Reckoning features 22 knight-themed legend and weapon skins skins, including a new reactive HAVOC skin.

Included in the standard collection pool is the Crestfallen Stars reactive HAVOC skin, featured as the highest rarity item with its own independent drop rate, like the Buster Sword R5 in the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Takeover. Additionally, a milestone tracker is included with the Void Reckoning shop, with skins like Galactic Garrison for Newcastle automatically unlocking upon opening a certain number of collection packs.

Apex Legends’ latest collection event offers a new look into the Outlands’ favorite legends, as Double Take features 24 items to collect, including a new prestige skin. Alter has brought a new version of the legends to the Apex Games, complete with outfits directly taken from their direct competition.
