Destiny 2‘s Ascendant Challenges are among several moving parts involving the Dreaming City’s intricate curse, which envelops the area in a three-week time loop.
The curse ranges from weak to strong to strongest, and each cycle brings a ton of treasure to hunt for—if you’re brave enough to dive into the Ascendant Plane in search of riches. Destiny 2 has six Ascendant Challenges that rotate every week. They’re a surefire source of Dreaming City gear, including reissued versions of Waking Vigil, Tigerspite, and Twilight Oath.
]]>Nightfalls can be one of the most challenging activities in Destiny 2 on higher difficulties. Luckily for gamers, they come with rewards to match. Each week, at least one Nightfall weapon is in rotation and can drop from Nightfall completions.
Higher difficulties have better odds, and Destiny 2 guardians brave enough to face Grandmasters will get an Adept version of whatever weapon is on tap that week. Revenant is bringing a few Grandmasters on the challenging or annoying side, including Liminality, the Corrupted, Proving Grounds, and the Lightblade—which are (or were) among the trickiest at the time of their release.
]]>Tess Everis runs Destiny 2’s Eververse store where players can spend their Silver or Bright Dust to acquire a rotating collection of cosmetics.
Tess’ stock changes at reset every Tuesday, bringing new offerings—and Destiny 2 fashionistas probably have their eyes glued to the Eververse calendar. Bungie recently changed its API formula, which previously allowed websites like TodayinDestiny.com to spot exactly which items were coming and when to build a comprehensive calendar. Now, players can only know if a certain item is coming for Bright Dust this season.
]]>As the end of the year approaches, it’s time to view all of your 2024 recaps. The brave Guardians of Destiny 2 can also view their 2024 stats, including how much time they spent in the game, which activities were their favorite, and more, thanks to Destiny 2 Wrapped 2024.
2024 marked the end of the Light and Dark saga in Destiny 2 with The Final Shape expansion, which was one of the best expansions the game ever received. From the new Prismatic subclass, a new enemy faction, and a phenomenal raid, there has been a lot to discover in Destiny 2. We aren’t even talking about the free Into the Light update that led us into the annual expansion, featuring Onslaught, the return of popular Exotic missions, and Pantheon.
]]>The holidays are right around the corner, and Destiny 2 has a ton of loot to chase in celebration of the season via its annual Dawning event. Stay Frosty is the event pulse rifle, and its 2024 iteration comes with a few new perks.
Stay Frosty is a Stasis Lightweight Frame pulse rifle, and it can be hard for such an archetype to stand out among plenty of other pulse rifles in Destiny 2. However, the 2024 version received new perks, like Rimestealer and Lone Wolf, that can make it more competitive in both PvE and PvP.
]]>Destiny 2’s holiday event is upon the Last City. As part of the Dawning event, guardians have to take down countless enemies and gain ingredients to bake cookies for their favorite NPCs, with the possibility of earning seasonal loot on the way.
What determines the ingredients you might receive in the Dawning is the enemy type you’ve defeated and how you defeated it. Taken enemies have a chance of dropping Taken Butter, for instance, but killing a Taken enemy with a sword might actually give you Sharp Flavor instead.
]]>To spread festive cheer in Destiny 2, you can earn multiple good-looking emblems during the Dawning event. These emblems include a few new ones and a coveted returning emblem many of you might have missed.
Here are all the currently available Dawning emblems in Destiny 2 and how to get them.
]]>Destiny 2’s Dawning event is here for another year and guardians are once again flocking to the Tower to bake cookies for their favorite NPCs. The new kid on the block this year is Dark Frosting, an old ingredient with a new formula.
Dawning ingredients drop based on two criteria: which enemy faction you’re killing and how. Taking down Vex grants you Vex Milk, but defeating them with Void damage from weapons or abilities may drop Null Taste.
]]>The Dawning event is once again in full swing in Destiny 2. While baking delicious cookies to deliver to your favorite vendor is fun, the main reason to play is to hunt down great rolls of limited-time Dawning weapons such as Glacioclasm.
Glacioclasm is a High-Impact Frame Void Fusion Rifle, and in 2024, it has been reprised once more with a fresh set of perks. Unlike last year’s iteration, it has some spicy new options for PvP, including the new perk—Closing Time. Don’t forget that you can also enhance this weapon to get even more benefits from already great perks.
]]>There are multiple enemy factions in Destiny 2, and sometimes, you may have an objective to defeat combatants of a specific faction. If you’re hunting down Scorn, there are a few good spots where you can easily farm a lot of kills.
Here are the best places to farm Scorn kills in Destiny 2, whether to complete bounties, gather Dawning ingredients, or complete any quest steps.
