Helldivers 2 is a multiplayer PvE shooter where players take up arms to protect Super Earth. While the game had a stellar launch, multiple nerfs and controversies with the PlayStation network have caused some fans to review bomb the game—giving rise to the Chaosdivers.
The Chaosdivers are a group of players who have a different approach to voicing their complaints. If you’ve heard about the infamous group of players and want to learn more, here is everything you need to know about Chaosdivers in Helldivers 2.
]]>An old enemy, the Illuminate, has returned to the galaxy of Helldivers 2, and the Helldivers need all the help they can get to fight back. The battle against the Illuminate takes place in new environments, and there are a few ways to make your life easier. A great starting point is the Fast Recon Vehicle, or the FRV.
The Fast Recon Vehicle is a four-seater car that accommodates an entire squad of Helldivers. There’s a driver’s seat, two passenger seats from which Helldivers can lean out to lay down suppressive fire, and a gunner seat in the back to mow down the squids and easily destroy Harvesters. The vehicle has an automatic gearbox, but you can manually shift gears if you want to. There’s also a fuel limit of 60L. Once it’s out, you’ll need to get a new car since there are no gas stations out there.
]]>The Helldivers 2 x Killzone crossover that launched yesterday was immediately met with backlash from the players for the undemocratic pricing of its featured items. In response to that, Arrowhead Game Studios and its partner at Guerilla Games prepared a holiday gift for Helldivers.
Super Earth announced on Dec. 19 that the second wave of the Killzone collaboration items will be free for all Helldivers 2 players—and they’re already available right now ahead of the initial launch date scheduled for next week. Next time you log into the game, you’ll receive the AC-2 Obedient armor set, the PLAS-39 Accelerator Rifle, the StA-11 SMG, and the Defender of Our Dream banner and cape. The distribution of items takes place in two waves, so if you didn’t get them at first, you might just have to wait a little.
]]>Helldivers 2 received a special delivery of supplies featuring Killzone 2. As a part of the collaboration, you can find new armor, player card, title, and even a new weapon: the StA-52 Assault Rifle.
The way you get this rifle is a bit different from regular unlocks in Helldivers 2, so here’s everything you need to know about it and whether you should look to unlock it.
]]>The Illuminate are back and are abducting citizens of Super Earth as you read this. This enemy faction is quite different from Termininds and Automatons, which you’ve been fighting in Helldivers 2 for months, so you must re-evaluate your combat approach before the next deployment.
In your loadout against the Illuminate, you want a weapon to deal with the waves of Voteless and something more heavy-hitting to eliminate Overseers and Harvesters. Those squids are tough and can easily one-shot you if they get close. You can choose to go with a primary to clear enemies and a Stratagem for something heavier, or vice versa, depending on what you have and what your teammates are using.
]]>Omens of Tyranny update for Helldivers 2 introduced the Illuminate—a long-awaited faction from the original game. These squids terrorized our colonies and abducted citizens until Helldivers rained hell on them in one of the toughest defense campaigns.
Over the weekend, Helldivers 2 players were hard at work fighting arguably the most challenging invasion in the game. The Illuminate attacked Calypso in the Saleria Sector, and according to the progress screenshots from players, the efforts of the invaders and Helldivers were almost perfectly in line. In the end, the Helldivers prevailed in defending the sector and wiped the Illuminate from the galactic map only days after their appearance.
]]>The Command was crystal clear: They want YOU to join the fight, and the Super Earth player count in Helldivers 2 continues fluctuating in this Galactic War. That is until a new enemy, weapon, or fancy armor catches their eye.
If you are wondering how many Helldivers have joined you in the fight, here’s everything you need to know about Helldivers 2′s player count.
]]>Helldivers 2 has found a new lease on life following an update that fans have been craving ever since the game first released.
A surprise update was announced during The Game Awards on Dec. 13, introducing the Illuminate as a new enemy faction and giving players a breath of new content to enjoy—resulting in a remarkable resurgence.
]]>We have waited for this moment for so long, Helldivers—the Illuminate are finally here. They’ve already made themselves at home, plaguing the streets of a lost civilization with their Voteless minions. Illuminate ships continue to birth new enemies for you to face, but anything can be destroyed.
A shield surrounds the Illuminate landing ship exterior, protecting the Voteless walking out of its doors. While the blue light emanating from the ship’s entrances looks inviting, it doesn’t take long for the surrounding area of the ship to get overwhelmed by mindless zombies. Protected by Watchers, you need a strategy to destroy these ships and hinder the Voteless endlessly spawning in.
]]>Helldivers 2 heroes rejoice, there’s a new enemy to take down in the fight to protect democracy—and you can enlist immediately.
Helldivers 2 Omens of Tyranny introduces a new enemy faction to face off against in the quest to protect Super Earth, with the Iluminate making their long-awaited debut in the title. While it’s certainly been quite a wait, the good news is you won’t have to wait a second more.
