NRG Esports’ European lineup made it two titles in a row last night at the Smite World Championship.

The tournament favorites cut a path through the tournament, eventually defeating regional rivals Obey Alliance in the final 3-1.

Smite developer Hi-Rez has banned European side Paradigm from competing in the game, after the organisation offered its current Smite team just one dollar in monthly salary.

Brandon “DM Brandon” Nance has left his role at Smite creators Hi-Rez Studios after an on-stream rant sparked by a donation message about suicide.

The former caster and full-time streamer at the Georgia-based company reacted to a message of support from a fan who survived suicide by calling the act “a selfish, stupid thing to do.”
