It's showtime!]]>It’s been a long ride for THE FINALS, from going retro against CNS to exploring feudal Japan. But it all comes back to the spirit of the world’s largest game show in season four.
THE FINALS season four was revealed on Sept. 12 by Embark Studios, and it’s filled with competitive spirit and sponsor logos. Cashout is at the heart of THE FINALS, and following player feedback, Ranked Cashout is returning as a core ranked mode in season four, replacing Terminal Attack. Terminal Attack and its leaderboards aren’t going anywhere, though, and will still be available to enjoy in Quick Play as a casual mode.

There's no heals and no revives.]]>Shroud has declared THE FINALS developers Embark Studios “don’t understand their player base” after the release of a new one-life ranked mode on June 14 set the game’s entire community abuzz—and not in a good way.
While many fans have praised Embark for trying new things in THE FINALS, new playing mode Terminal Attack has fallen flat. In this alternating attack-and-defense battle, players are challenged with an impossible restriction where they can’t heal or revive, so they only have one life to win the match. This is far from a unique concept in first-person shooters, but according to Shroud it’s way off the mark for THE FINALS and its gameplay.

The event lasted for two hours, and during that time, I got the chance to see the main attractions of season three of THE FINALS launching on June 13, including a new map, weapons, gadgets, and the World Tour event series. Out of all these things, the World Tour is what really caught my eye.
