Thus, the already sold-out digital PlayStation 5 30th Anniversary edition ended up marked up by 100 percent and is selling for $999 and more on eBay. The Pro variant, however, originally priced at $999 itself, is now going for upwards of $6,500 on eBay, though I've seen somewhat sketchy listings breaching even that upper barrier. Hell, even the controllers are being marked up and sold at drastically higher prices, and the whole ordeal looks scarily similar to the initial release of PlayStation 5 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 30th anniversary version of the DualSense controller goes for more than twice its base price, while its EDGE version can be picked up for the same price of a regular PlayStation 5 console (around $500). Scalpers have been known to abuse the reselling market, particularly during times of low supply, and since this is a limited, special-occasion release, it's no that we're seeing prices as wild as these.
