The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) believes<\/a> the female employees suing Riot Games for gender discrimination and harassment are potentially entitled to over $400 million, far above the $10 million amount that the two parties settled on. But Riot thinks that number is absurd.<\/p>
A 2018 Kotaku<\/a> report revealed numerous employees alleging sexual harassment and discrimination made it nearly impossible for women to move up in the company. This sparked Riot\u2019s new \u201cFirst Steps Forward<\/a>\u201d initiative to eliminate sexism and misogyny, while expanding on inclusivity and equality.<\/p>
