Capture any Pok\u00e9mon you want while clearing the four battles<\/h3> You won\u2019t be forced to keep anything you catch, so it doesn\u2019t hurt and only increases your chances of actually nabbing a shiny, even if it isn\u2019t the one you really wanted.\u00a0<\/p>
At the end of a run, you’ll be asked to select one of the Pok\u00e9mon you captured to take with you, meaning you can at most take a single Pok\u00e9mon as a prize. You can browse through the captures and see which ones are shiny before making a decision. You can also decline to take any of them if you’re only looking for a shiny.\u00a0<\/p>
You still get Dynite Ore as a bonus, too. Even if you fail to clear the final boss, you can still check and keep one of the other Pok\u00e9mon you captured before being swept out of the den.\u00a0<\/p>
Always decline to take a legendary Pok\u00e9mon if it isn\u2019t shiny<\/h3>
If you’re trying to capture a shiny variant of every legendary Pok\u00e9mon available in the Max Lair, this is the most important step you need to follow.\u00a0<\/p>
If you choose to take a legendary Pok\u00e9mon with you after capturing it and clearing the adventure, you’ll be unable to capture that same Pok\u00e9mon again, even if you run into it on another adventure. This means you need to make sure it’s a shiny on the review screen before taking it. Otherwise, you won\u2019t be able to get a shiny version of it.\u00a0<\/p>
If you didn\u2019t capture any other Pok\u00e9mon, you’ll need to decline to take a Pok\u00e9mon out at all and just take the Dynite. This will allow you to encounter that Pok\u00e9mon again in a later adventure with no drawbacks.\u00a0<\/p>
Don\u2019t reset your game during a Dynamax Adventure<\/h3>
Some players not used to shiny hunting in Max Raid Battles might not know this yet, but soft-resetting your game won\u2019t help you get a shiny\u2014at least during a Dynamax Adventure.\u00a0<\/p>
Why is that the case? Because every time you enter the Max Lair, the encounter paths are randomized unless you’ve marked a path to a Pok\u00e9mon you just lost to or purchased the information from Peonia.\u00a0<\/p>
Soft-resetting doesn’t guarantee you a path to the Pok\u00e9mon you want and it actually can come back to bite you since resetting or disconnecting enough times will force you to pay a Dyonite penalty to get back into a run. <\/p>
That means it’s better to just finish out a run, choose not to take a Pok\u00e9mon if you caught it and want a shiny version, and jump back in for a clean adventure from the start.\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

This includes all of the legendary Pok\u00e9mon that you can catch at the end of each adventure.\u00a0 Here are the basic steps you should take when trying to find shiny Pok\u00e9mon while playing Dynamax Adventures.\u00a0 Capture any Pok\u00e9mon you want while clearing the four battles You won\u2019t be forced to keep anything you catch, so it doesn\u2019t hurt and only increases your chances of actually nabbing a shiny, even if it isn\u2019t the one you really wanted.\u00a0 At the end of a run, you'll be asked to select one of the Pok\u00e9mon you captured to take with you, meaning you can at most take a single Pok\u00e9mon as a prize. You can browse through the captures and see which ones are shiny before making a decision.
