You see, Riot has actually only published one real game. And while they’ve hinted at other projects from time to time and even released some concepts<\/a>, there’s no sign of another game coming.<\/p>
The reaction from key figures<\/a> came rapidly<\/a>, vociferously<\/a>, and overwhelmingly positively<\/a>. Reply<\/a> after reply came in supporting the idea and lambasting Merrill for potentially memeing the community with the idea. The reason? A League<\/em> MMO is actually a pretty good idea.<\/p>
League<\/em> is never going to go head-to-head with Blizzard’s World of Warcraft<\/em> in direct competition for MMO diehards. But it does have its own story and lore to talk about\u2014and those facets of the game are improving every day<\/a>. And MMO would be the perfect way to take advantage of that rich history and build something immersive for League’s<\/em> own fanbase.<\/p>
