If you don't want to shell out a ton of cash or exfiltrate through the Exfil points marked on your map (or through a Hostage Rescue chopper), though, a Heavy Chopper is the next best way to escape an incursion. It's also a requirement for the Flight Risk mission, available at the second tier with the Redacted faction. Extracting in the new chopper requires some Heavy Chopper Fuel, which is only available in a handful of places. Here's everything you need to know to find Heavy Chopper Fuel in DMZ. Where to find Heavy Chopper Fuel in DMZ Finding Heavy Chopper Fuel isn't necessarily a simple task since it hinges on some luck. The official season three DMZ blog post says players \"must find its special fuel around the airport in order to get it in the sky,\" which helps narrow down its location. And while that was the only hint we had before the release of season three, there are other locations. We've found a gallon of Heavy Chopper Fuel aboard the cargo train in DMZ, which can be a good option if you're close by. The train tracks could be the key to finding Heavy Chopper Fuel, based on the description of the Flight Risk mission. Flight Risk's mission text says the fuel was distributed to \"various locations along the Al Mazrah railway\" and lists five potential spots: the Rohan Oil train station, the Hafid Port train station, the hangars at the Al Mazrah Airport, the cargo train, and the smuggling tunnels in the Sattiq Cave Complex. This makes for a plethora of possible locations, which are somewhat spread out over Al Mazrah. Since you'll likely spawn in a different area on each deployment, your route to search those will likely vary on each deployment, and the Heavy Chopper is bound to be in different spots each time as well. Finding Heavy Chopper Fuel comes with its share of risk. The train has become a prime target in season three due to the built-in safe and weapon case, and it's possible the Heavy Chopper Fuel won't always spawn there\u2014and it's also possible a squad beat you to the punch and grabbed the gas before you hopped in. The same principle applies to Rohan Oil and Hafid Port if you weren't the squads that spawned there. Scavenging fuel in the airport and Sattiq Caves also comes with its drawbacks. The airport is an enemy-dense, remote location in the far southeast of Al Mazrah, which may make it difficult to get to depending on where you spawn. Sattiq Caves, while closer to the center of the map, is also sprawling with enemy soldiers (and potentially other players). We've seen it spawn in Hafid Port, Ahkdar Village, and the Al Mazrah airport, so start by looking through these locations. The Heavy Chopper will be marked on your map, so you can have an idea of where you should go after you've acquired the fuel. Once you have the helicopter, just fly to any out-of-bounds area on the map to successfully exfiltrate the AO instead of blowing up. Lastly, you can also loot the Heavy Chopper Fuel from other players you have downed. The official season three DMZ blog post says players \"must find its special fuel around the airport in order to get it in the sky,\" which helps narrow down its location. And while that was the only hint we had before the release of season three, there are other locations. We've found a gallon of Heavy Chopper Fuel aboard the cargo train in DMZ, which can be a good option if you're close by. The train tracks could be the key to finding Heavy Chopper Fuel, based on the description of the Flight Risk mission. Flight Risk's mission text says the fuel was distributed to \"various locations along the Al Mazrah railway\" and lists five potential spots: the Rohan Oil train station, the Hafid Port train station, the hangars at the Al Mazrah Airport, the cargo train, and the smuggling tunnels in the Sattiq Cave Complex. This makes for a plethora of possible locations, which are somewhat spread out over Al Mazrah. Since you'll likely spawn in a different area on each deployment, your route to search those will likely vary on each deployment, and the Heavy Chopper is bound to be in different spots each time as well. Finding Heavy Chopper Fuel comes with its share of risk. The train has become a prime target in season three due to the built-in safe and weapon case, and it's possible the Heavy Chopper Fuel won't always spawn there\u2014and it's also possible a squad beat you to the punch and grabbed the gas before you hopped in. The same principle applies to Rohan Oil and Hafid Port if you weren't the squads that spawned there. Scavenging fuel in the airport and Sattiq Caves also comes with its drawbacks. The airport is an enemy-dense, remote location in the far southeast of Al Mazrah, which may make it difficult to get to depending on where you spawn. Sattiq Caves, while closer to the center of the map, is also sprawling with enemy soldiers (and potentially other players).
