For the second year in a row, UMG will host an online memorial Call of Duty<\/em> tournament. The second annual UMG memorial tournament<\/a> is set to take place on Nov. 18, the tournament organizer announced<\/a> earlier today. <\/p>
The $10,000 event will be a four-vs-four Search and Destroy tournament on Call of Duty: WWII<\/em>. Up to 256 teams can register to participate in the single-elimination tournament. Last year, UMG hosted the PHiZZURP 10K<\/a> on Oct. 16 in honor of Call of Duty <\/em>legend Phillip “PHiZZURP” Klemenov, who passed away in a fatal car accident last October. Although PHiZZURP is not represented in this tournament’s name, UMG hopes<\/a> the event will allow players and fans to “remember the fallen members of our community and celebrate their lives.” First place in this year’s memorial tournament will earn $8,000, while second place will walk away with $2,000. Registration<\/a> for this online tournament will begin at 5pm ET on Nov. 17, and it will close when the event starts at 5pm ET on Nov. 18.
