But while players set out on their missions across Kitakami Island to catch \u2018em all, they\u2019ll run into a bit of a roadblock: version exclusives. That\u2019s right: Version exclusives are back. Depending on which version of the game you own, some Pok\u00e9mon won\u2019t appear in the wild. This longstanding feature of the Pok\u00e9mon games requires players to trade with other trainers who own the opposite version of the game before they can complete the Pok\u00e9dex. Every version exclusive Pok\u00e9mon in Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask There are a total of six Pok\u00e9mon exclusives to obtain in The Teal Mask DLC: two evolutionary lines from the Johto region and two single-stage evolutions from Galar. Each of the versions get one of each. For Scarlet owners, that\u2019s the Ground and Flying-type Gligar. Fans with Violet, however, get the Normal-type Aipom. If you go into the Pok\u00e9 Portal and click on the Tera Raid menu, you can refresh the raid board and occasionally find Tera Raids featuring Pok\u00e9mon from the opposite version. You can freely join those raids since they are just hosted by a player with the copy you don\u2019t have and, if you complete the raid, you can catch it and avoid needing to trade at all.\u00a0 Another easy option is to catch multiple of whatever version-exclusive Pok\u00e9mon is featured in your copy of the game and load up the Link Trade menu. The Scarlet and Violet community is very active in maintaining \u201cTrade Codes\u201d that are almost entirely used for trading version exclusive Pok\u00e9mon with someone who needs them. Each of the versions get one of each. For Scarlet owners, that\u2019s the Ground and Flying-type Gligar. Fans with Violet, however, get the Normal-type Aipom. If you go into the Pok\u00e9 Portal and click on the Tera Raid menu, you can refresh the raid board and occasionally find Tera Raids featuring Pok\u00e9mon from the opposite version. You can freely join those raids since they are just hosted by a player with the copy you don\u2019t have and, if you complete the raid, you can catch it and avoid needing to trade at all.\u00a0 Another easy option is to catch multiple of whatever version-exclusive Pok\u00e9mon is featured in your copy of the game and load up the Link Trade menu. The Scarlet and Violet community is very active in maintaining \u201cTrade Codes\u201d that are almost entirely used for trading version exclusive Pok\u00e9mon with someone who needs them.
