After initially postponing the Ranked Split for season 20 of Apex Legends, developer Respawn has told players it will release “shortly”—though has yet to provide a concrete date.

On April 3, Respawn admitted it had to delay the next Ranked Split as a result of the recent update woes that befell Apex Legends. As ardent players are aware, plenty of unlucky individuals recently lost all their progress, including Heirlooms and badges. Though Respawn hastily issued a fix so no one else would be affected, those already impacted are left waiting to have their progress restored.

If you’re not a fan of Dragon’s Dogma 2‘s Dragonsplague mechanic, you’ll want to install this new PC mod that makes it easier to tell when your Pawns have been infected.

While there are telltale signs of Dragonsplague, such as red eyes, they’re all too easy to overlook. This mod, which was created and uploaded to Nexus Mods by one rthomasv3 (as spotted by VG247), slaps a hard-to-miss counter on Pawns’ foreheads in Dragon’s Dogma 2, so you don’t have to meticulously check them for symptoms over and over again.

Following the release of Stardew Valley‘s 1.6 update, creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has stated he has no further plans for the farming sim, but hasn’t entirely ruled out giving it another update.

Speaking with UK outlet Metro on April 3, Barone acknowledged how previous updates were meant to be the last, yet he wound up adding more to Stardew Valley anyway. “While there’s nothing planned, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was more in the future,” he said. “Basing it off the past, any time I thought it was the last, it never was the last.”

Developer Saber Interactive has formally confirmed that its remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is “alive and well,” but refrained from saying when fans will see a glimpse of it.

The PlayStation 5 remake of the beloved 2003 RPG has been in limbo for years, and was even feared to have been canceled altogether at one point. But there was a renewed sense of optimism after Saber Interactive split from its parent company, the Embracer Group. There was initially no official statement on the status of the Star Wars: KOTOR remake, but it was claimed Saber would continue to work on it regardless. Comments by Embracer also suggested it would remain involved, as well.

In the wake of a failed Major Order in Helldivers 2, creative director Johan Pilestedt has said there are discussions to make supply lines, an important but invisible mechanic, “more clear” for players.

Recently, the Helldivers 2 community was dealt a massive blow by failing to liberate the planet Ubanea. While some placed the blame on players that simply didn’t contribute and were preoccupied with other planets, others think the fault lies with developer Arrowhead Game Studios, since it didn’t meaningfully communicate the importance of supply lines.

Ark: Survival Ascended recently received its Scorched Earth update, but the pricing for the new DLC that comes with it appears to have split the community.

For context, the Scorched Earth update itself, which added a new map, dinosaurs, and items, is a free download. But developer Studio Wildcard also released Bob’s Tall Tales, a DLC that throws in even more content, including the Oasisaur, a new dinosaur type you can tame and build a base on top of. This DLC costs $29.99, which is a point of contention in the playerbase.

Pokémon fan and YouTuber Hylianstagram has demonstrated how he was able to obtain an especially rare Shiny Jirachi after two months of playing Pokémon Channel.

Getting a Shiny Jirachi isn’t easy. To date, Jirachi has only ever been available in the mainline Pokémon games via time-limited events or as a save data bonus. Dedicated Shiny hunters have developed methods for acquiring a Shiny Jirachi, but Hylianstagram opted to try a full odds hunt to see how long it’d take to obtain one from the 2003 GameCube game Pokémon Channel.

Hollow Knight: Silksong now has its own listing on the Xbox Store, prompting hesitant excitement from fans about its eventual release.

It has been ages since fans heard anything about Silksong. A sequel to Team Cherry’s indie hit Hollow Knight, Silksong was announced back in 2019, but very little has been shared about it, barring a delay that pushed it out of the first half of 2023. Then, out of nowhere, an Xbox Store listing popped up on April 1, which many immediately took to be a cruel April Fool’s prank before realizing it’s legitimate.
