Silver Bars are by far one of the most elusive resources in Enshrouded, but they can be used to make some of the game’s strongest armor. If you eventually want to get your hands on the best late-game gear, you’re going to need these shiny metal bricks—and lots of them.

To get Silver Bars in Enshrouded, you either have to get lucky and find them out in the Albaneve Summits, or you’ll need to craft them yourself. We recommend the latter approach, since it doesn’t rely purely on what’s already a very low spawn rate. But unlike the creation process for other materials like Warm Padding or Wool, how to craft Silver Bars isn’t immediately clear. You’ll need to complete a quest and acquire materials for building a Blast Furnace before you can start cooking up Silver Bars.

At some point in your Enshrouded playthrough, you’ll want to get your hands on Lapislazuli. This resource is required for a number of recipes, but even if you’re not a big crafter, this purple little rock is needed for upgrading your Flame Altar—and you’ll need a lot of it.

Tracking down Lapislazuli can take time, though. It only spawns in the Kindlewastes, one of Embervale’s later biomes. And in this miserably hot desert, it can be difficult to find if you don’t know where to look. Luckily for players, there are a few distinct areas where you can always expect to find this useful ingredient.

The Fluffy Set is one of Enshrouded‘s newest costumes, and it’s down-right adorable. As its name suggests, this outfit reimagines your character as a sheep, and it’s perfect for fitting in against the snowy peaks of the Albaneve Summits.

For a limited time, players could get the cosmetic set through Twitch drops. But now that the campaign has ended, you’ll have to put in the leg work of finding it in the game. Like other costumes in Enshrouded, the Fluffy Set is comprised of five main pieces: a hat, chest piece, trousers, gloves, and boots. Luckily for players, finding each piece of the Fluffy Set isn’t too baaaad (sheep puns, anyone?), although you need to brave the harsh alpine climate of the Albaneve Summits and upgrade your Flame Altar to level seven before you can get all the pieces.

Steel Bars are one of Enshrouded’s newest crafting materials, and you’ll need them if you want to make late-game recipes. Unfortunately for all you impatient crafters out there, it takes quite a few steps to wrangle up these shiny metal bricks—and you’ll first need to hunt down some Bellows.

You’ve likely come across Steel Bars already in the overworld, either by destroying crates or finding them in the houses and scavenger camps scattered around the Albaneve Summits. But acquiring them by looting is a slow process, so if you want to make recipes using these ingredients more frequently, you’ll need to craft them yourself.

Enshrouded hit Steam on Jan. 24, 2024 as an early-access title, and it’s been through quite a lot in its first year. Throughout 2024, a ton of new content and features arrived through various updates. But one major aspect of the game has remained missing, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by Xbox and PlayStation users.

That’s right: We’re talking about accessibility for players on console, who have still have yet to sink their teeth into all that Embervale has to offer. Despite being in early access for a year, the game isn’t available on the Microsoft console. In fact, the survival-crafter is not on any console outside of the Steam Deck, Valve’s handheld computer. Before heading out on a fossil hunt, make sure you have plenty of space in your bag for the rubble and fossils you will collect. You will recognize a hidden fossil by the red glow emanating from the rock it is buried in. Take out your pickaxe, dig out the fossil, and click to collect it.

Home to fluffy goats, tough-to-climb mountains, and new crafting resources, the Albaneve Summits is a harsh climate. As you might guess, it’s located in the northern parts of Embervale and can be reached by traversing through the Kindlewastes, one of the game’s later biomes. Many parts of this region—namely, the highest icy peaks—require proper gear to protect from dangerous hypothermia. Other areas, though, can be explored without concern, allowing you to harvest the biome’s plentiful resources for your next big crafting project.

The building system in Enshrouded lets players express their creativity with complex terraforming tools, an array of furniture, and many unique building blocks. These blocks come in all types of materials, ranging from wood and stone to bones and brick—and everything in between.

In the early stages of Enshrouded, you’ll come across roughly eight Shroud Roots, with many more scattered about as you explore. Many of these will appear as question marks until they are discovered or marked on your map by a quest, such as the first Elixir Well quest set by the Blacksmith.
