In Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, weapons greatly diversify your playstyle. Some set enemies on fire. Others lob explosives at large groups of enemies. It’s pure fun—and chaos—but you’ll first have to find these weapons if you want to wreak havoc.
Flintlock‘s arsenal of weapons is separated into three main categories: primary, secondary, and melee. Many of these weapons can be found in chests around the world of Kian, but most are acquired as rewards for completing the game’s side quests. If you collect all of the weapons in the game, you’ll unlock the Full Arsenal trophy, one of Flintlock‘s many achievements.
]]>Reputation in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a crucial resource, and knowing how to collect it faster in the game allows you to use it in various ways to enhance your experience in the world of Kian.
You can use Reputation points in Flintlock to buy outfits, upgrade weapons, or even unlock new game-changing abilities from your skill tree. But the game doesn’t clarify how to accumulate the points quickly, so we’ll break it down for you to help you progress through the game faster and unlock new abilities.
]]>While exploring the vibrant world of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, you’ll inevitably come to the Hamlet of Mudfish Dock, which bandits have overrun, and they have planted their banners all over the city and the Three Peaks.
As one of the main quests, Battle Hardened, in Flintlock, you should meet a carpenter at the Mudfish Dock, who thanks you for taking care of the bandits in the hamlet but has one last request from you: take down all the bandits flags in the region to eradicate theire presence. The task also comes with a hefty reward of 7,500 reputation and a medal, which helps to enhance your skill tree.
]]>Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a new Soulslike/Souls-lite game that’s currently getting review-bombed on Xbox by racists. Sorry, are we not supposed to call people that? Unfortunate, because that’s what they are.
Flintlock is a game about the main character, Nor Vanek, fighting through hordes of undead with her ax and other melee weapons, a multitude of flintlock guns, and some magic courtesy of a talking, flying fox god named Enki. Sounds pretty cool, right? It is. Flintlock is pretty good. It’s not perfect by any means; there are performance issues to wade through and, at times, the gameplay loop gets a bit too repetitive for my taste, but the world is legitimately interesting and the combat really does have its moments. Its Steam reviews are currently sitting at Mostly Positive and it has a 71 on Metacritic, which generally means a game might not be great, but it’s good. Ah, and one more thing: The main character is a Black woman.
]]>While traveling the world of Kian in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, you’ll come across weapons and armor you can equip for Nor. But Enki also has his own set of items he can “wear”: Cursed Stones that change his attacks and the color of the gem between his horns.
Cursed Stones come in three different types, with two levels per type. The different types change which curses Enki inflicts foes with, while the level impacts the length and strength of the curse. You can find Raw Cursed Stones around the world, while Imbued Cursed Stones can only be acquired from defeating gods.
]]>Dukmar is an arrogant god, which makes defeating him in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn all the more satisfactory. But he won’t go down without a fight, so you’ll need to learn the best tips and tricks to beat this boss.
Dukmar fight strategy, explained
Unlike Rammuha, who has two layers of armor, Dukmar only has one. You’ll need to fill his Priming Gauge and then land a critical hit to rid him of his armor. After doing so, he’ll become a lot easier to fight.
]]>Not only did bandits take over the Three Peaks, but they’re crawling all over Wanderer’s Rest. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn tasks you with destroying all of the bandits’ banners, and if you know where to find these flags, it’s worth the effort.
As with the Three Peaks flags, there are 15 bandit banners for players to find in Wanderer’s Rest. The banners are red and white flags, and when shot down, they reward players with a small amount of reputation. Most of these banners hang from towers or cliffs, so keep your eyes on the skies while searching for them.
]]>Armor affects your playstyle in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn just as much as weapons do, and the Warlock’s set is perfect for those looking to lean into the game’s magic abilities.
If you equip at least two Warlock’s armor items, you receive the following set bonus, which reads: “When you defeat a cursed enemy, all curses on that enemy are transferred to another enemy within 10 meters.” Each of the individual Flintlock items in the set also play around curses, so they’re powerful options to have if you’re relying on Cursed Stones and Enki’s attacks throughout your journey around Kian.
]]>The Irregular’s armor set in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a powerful one to have equipped, though to get the full set, you need to know precisely where to look to find the chests and quests that grant these items.
Like other armor sets in Flintlock, the Irregular’s set comes with a helmet, gauntlet, and pauldron. If you equip at least two pieces of the Irregular’s armor, you’ll unlock the set’s bonus, which grants you the Bloodrage effect after you perform a critical attack. Bloodrage reduces your health to one whenever you take fatal damage and knocks all enemies within 7.5 meters back. It’s essentially a get-out-of-jail-free card, but you can only use it once per rest.
]]>Rammuha is the first major god you fight in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and she can be a bit of a toughie. To beat her, you need excellent parries, upgraded armor and weapons, and a bit of finesse. Here’s how to take down Rammuha in Flintlock.
Rammuha boss fight strategy in Flintlock
Rammuha wears two layers of armor, so your attacks won’t deal much damage at the start of this Flintlock fight. Instead of going for sheer damage, prioritize filling Rammuha’s Priming Gauge and landing critical hits.
