The long-awaited Ghost of Tsushima sequel was finally revealed at PlayStation’s State of Play today, but those hoping for more Jin Sakai adventures will be disappointed.

In fact, it looks like the game will have little to do with the original at all. Ghost of Yōtei was revealed to take place in the year 1603, which is several hundred years after the events of Tsushima. And this game features a new female protagonist.

Ghost of Tsushima was released in July 2020, allowing players to travel back to feudal Japan and fight against a Mongol invasion as the samurai Jin Sakai. Now that the open-world RPG has been updated for both PS5 and PC, gamers are curious if a second game is in development.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is gearing up for its PC port release on 16 May, which includes the Steam Deck and other handheld gaming PCs. Unfortunately, players holstering these handheld devices won’t have access to one specific game mode.

A tweet posted by Sucker Punch Productions and Nixxes Software on X on May 14 (formerly Twitter) states Ghost of Tsushima‘s Legends mode won’t be supported on the Steam Deck. According to the post, this is because the game’s co-op multiplayer mode relies on Windows accessing integrated PlayStation Network features.
