One of the first big choices you need to make in Mario & Luigi Brothership is whether to save Billdit or Maykit from two different islands.

After completing the first island and reaching the lighthouse, you’ll discover a pod on a beach that you can open with a Hammer. As the cutscene developers, you’ll be told the only way to get the Hammer is by rescuing Billdit and Maykit. After talking to more NPCs, you discover they went to separate islands you will come across.

Stats can be confusing in Mario & Luigi Brothership, even to an avid RPG player, due to Nintendo’s use of goofy and weird names to describe some of its mechanics.

While some of the basic stats on offer might be easy to work out, there are equally things like STACHE and SPEED that only offer numbers without telling you exactly what each does. So what’s the deal?

Rewards are a big part of Super Mario Party Jamboree that unlock over time after you complete objectives in-game, with 50 available overall.

By earning rewards, not only do you rank up your player level, but you can also unlock additional stages and other items like stickers, reactions, and other minor collectibles. You can upgrade your rewards with every achievement you complete, and you only need to complete 50 of the nearly 100 Achievements to get your hands on everything the game has to offer.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is stacked with content to unlock hidden within various game modes, so keeping track of everything available from the get-go can be pretty hard.

While there are a couple of characters and boards to unlock, there are additional things that’ll keep completionists happy over time, including hidden mini-games and extra features. While most of the things you can unlock are purely cosmetic, it’s still fun to see what’s available.

There are a bunch of Achievements for various modes in Super Mario Party Jamboree, so it can be hard to keep track of them all while playing.

While you can unlock most of the Achievements by playing over time, some require luck, RNG, or certain characters to appear that might annoy you if you’re trying to 100 percent complete every Achievement available.

Throughout the single-player story mode in Super Mario Party Jamboree, you’ll come across Latiku in some of the worlds where he asks questions about the board you are currently on. He is usually hidden somewhere in each world but isn’t hard to find.

For each question you answer per world, you get one mini star. Completing every question also gets you an achievement to help you unlock new items, stages, and boards. Completing each world’s questions also gets you a neat cosmetic reward for your Party Plaza.

When jumping into a Super Mario Party Jamboree game, a great way to enhance the experience is to pick the board before you play. Only some boards available in the game appear when you begin playing, and there are several you have to unlock throughout your playthrough.

The way you unlock the game boards in Super Mario Party Jamboree is exceptionally specific. Thankfully, these unlock requirements are not too complicated. They will take you a reasonable amount of time, meaning you and your friends need to work through the game. When you have them all, you can dive into the newly unlocked board and play through it. Super Mario Party Jamboree has a host of modes, and most of them can be played online with up to eight players in certain ones, like Koopathalon.

While you can start a party and play with random players, this is a Mario Party game. And what’s a Mario Party game without your actual friends? You can create lobbies to play with your friends in the multitude of modes around the world as long as you complete specific actions first. It’s pretty straightforward once you know what you’re doing, but Nintendo does a painful job of teaching players what to do to set up their first match.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is here, and like its predecessor, Party Points are back for you to earn throughout your time playing games against CPUs or players across the globe.

You might get Party Points randomly while playing, and if you quickly go through the text boxes, you might miss what the points can be used for. There’s not a huge amount of places to use them, but when you find where to spend your Party Points, you can unlock several ways to customize your game and show off to your friends.

Super Mario Party Jamboree has two secret characters you can unlock, and despite what you might think, they are pretty easy to come across. They won’t require any grinding or achievement scoring to add to your roster and can be found pretty sharpish.

These two characters are Pauline and Ninji, who are making their Party debuts and appear heavily in the game’s advertisement but don’t appear during the opening credits. They are locked, forcing you to unlock them.
