No Rest for the Wicked devs Private Division revealed some interesting stats on May 10, pulled from the game’s Early Access launch weekend from almost a month ago. From rat kill counts to the most ferocious boss, there was a lot to see.

Perhaps the most interesting detail in the post is that No Rest for the Wicked players died over 35 million times during their playthrough in just the launch weekend alone. However, this is not much of a surprise, as the game is known for its challenging combat that requires players to be highly strategic.

No Rest for the Wicked has been in early access for eight days, and developer Moon Studios has already shipped its fifth hotfix patch.

The hotfix includes lots of changes, from performance tweaks to quality-of-life updates. What caught my eye is that your cooking and crafting materials finally stack up to 25, you can put food in cupboards, and the durability of tools and armor has been enhanced. On top of that, the update adds eight new shields, for even more class diversity, as the No Rest for the Wicked devs put it.

The creative director of No Rest for the Wicked has urged PlayStation and Nintendo to “embrace early access” following the success of the Moon Studios title.

No Rest for the Wicked was released into early access on Steam on April 18 and has quickly established itself as one of the most popular titles on the platform—but console players are having to wait.

No Rest for the Wicked has a lot of potential, but the challenging Soulslike action RPG from the developers of Ori and the Blind Forest has a lot of things that need fixing while it’s in early access, and the devs are calling on fans to help decide which issue should get first priority.

Moon Studios’ creative director Thomas Mahler posted a poll earlier today asking No Rest for the Wicked early access players to choose one of four key issues for the team to “focus on the most.” The choices are performance, key rebindings, inventory management and quality-of-life, and stats respec.

The No Rest for the Wicked developers have been hard at work on more updates for the early access title, dropping an April 22 patch focused on fixes and balancing.

Hotfix Three features performance improvements, bugfixes, much-needed clay-drop buffs, and even a nerf to parrying, which is already challenging for players. Although No Rest for the Wicked is in early access and still has a lot to do on the development front, the devs have been heads-down since April 18 to release three significant hotfixes, with the latest going live today. Like the past two patches, this one has a core focus on game performance and graphics improvements, with several bugfixes.

But a new trick means you don't have to spend anything with Fillmore.]]>

No Rest for the Wicked can be a grueling game where you want to time your strikes carefully, or you could end up dead, where your equipment takes damage over time. You can repair it, but it comes at a cost. That is until players discovered a way around this payment.

When you initially start the game, there’s a blacksmith you rescue named Fillmore. He’s willing to buy and sell with you, and this is one of the few ways you can repair any equipment that takes durability damage. At the start of No Rest for the Wicked, he does it for free, but later asks for payment after you complete the tutorial area. With the way No Rest for the Wicked works with realms, you can bring a character who has completed the tutorial back to the start of the game and take advantage of Fillmore’s kind repair services.

No Rest for the Wicked launched in early access on April 18, but if you’re rushing to buy the game, be careful you don’t mistakenly get the wrong one.

The No Rest for the Wicked action RPG developed by Moon Studios, creators of Ori, is currently available on Steam with a 10 percent introductory offer. But there’s also a No rest for the wicked bundle that has no relation to the action RPG whatsoever.

No Rest for the Wicked’s early access period started on April 18, with thousands of players tuning in. Unsurprisingly, they spotted numerous issues with the game, and the dev is already taking action.

The developer, Moon Studios, addressed the community’s feedback in an April 19 Reddit thread, acknowledging key issues with the game, thanking players for their input, and asking them to continue reporting anything that crosses their minds.

No Rest for the Wicked might be one of the more exciting titles to drop this year, but many players are already discovering some major pitfalls that have already ruined the experience for countless users—and they aren’t hesitating to voice their complaints.

On the game’s official Steam page, the early access title has garnered widespread ire after people discovered no options to edit their keybinds and button mapping, and that the game felt like it was tailored to a controller-based experience. Fans were left with unsatisfactory controls, or worse, the inability to play in the first place.

No Rest for the Wicked, a new action RPG from Moon Studios, the developer of the Ori series, is in early access now—but don’t expect any adorable wisps in this game.

Described on its Steam page as a “visceral, precision action RPG set to reinvent the genre,” No Rest for the Wicked sees you playing Cerim, a holy warrior who’s sworn to defeat a plague (called the Pestilence) at any cost. This journey sees Cerim becoming entangled in the politics of the kingdom and going up against those who want to wield the chaos of the plague for their own gains.
