Can the Spider-Man come out to play?]]>The first details about World of Warcraft Dragonflight Patch 10.2.7 were unveiled over the last few days, giving players a glimpse at the upcoming additions. One of them is a new mount that looks like it was designed by the Spider-Man villain, Green Goblin.
WoW content creator MrGM shared details about WoW‘s 10.2.7 Patch on X (formerly Twitter) on April 10, including the new Pearlescent Goblin Wave Shredder. The mount will be likely obtainable as a reward from the Trading Post, according to MrGM. We think it’ll be a favorite mount for Spider-Man fans, since it looks very similar to the Green Goblin (Norman Osborn)’s Glider.

A huge hack in December 2023 lifted the lid on Insomniac’s plans to expand the Spider-Man universe. In the process, Spider-Man: The Great Web was revealed as a multiplayer live service game where players would control several Spider-people while adventuring together in New York.

It looks so good.]]>Insomniac Games is still feeling the consequences of last year’s data breach, as Spider-Man: The Great Web’s trailer just leaked online. It shows multiple Spider-Men fighting Sinister Six villains and traversing through the multiverse.
Spider-Man: The Great Web is a cancelled multiplayer project from Insomniac where players explore New York in a co-op setting. The leaked trailer from March 12 showcases multiple Web-slingers taking on street level goons and Sinister Six villains like Venom and Doc Ock, then traveling to other alternate universes with portals.

Ready to swing through the skies again?]]>It’s nearly time to head back to Marvel’s New York. The highly anticipated New Game Plus update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is just a few weeks away.
PlayStation confirmed the news about the update in a new blog post, detailing additional features to come, including the highly requested Photo Mode, Ultimate Levels, new gadget styles, and more. Insomniac Games also said it’s adding “suit styles for several of Peter’s symbiote story suits,” which can be unlocked via Ultimate Levels in New Game Plus. Ultimate Levels are levels beyond the previous level cap in the base game. Customization options include different colors.

She quit acting years ago.]]>Stephanie Tyler Jones, the facial model for Mary Jane Watson in Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, has issued a new statement regarding her role in the series’ future following complaints of harassment.
Earlier this week, on Jan. 8, Jones said certain followers had “crossed boundaries” that made her feel unsafe, adding how she’s no longer pursuing acting or modelling roles and is currently working in skincare. As such, her skincare page is “not for Spider-Man or MJ fans.”

In a Jan. 8 post on her Instagram page (which has been shared on X and Reddit as well), Jones explained she appreciates the positive reception she’s received for her role in the Spider-Man games, but some of her followers had “crossed boundaries.” The only example she gives is one individual who left multiple voicemails at her workplace asking to speak with Jones and that she call them back, which unsurprisingly made her feel “unsafe and uncomfortable.”

Insomniac Games posted the bad news on Twitter/X today, revealing that the update originally scheduled for the end of 2023 has been pushed into next year. The new window for the update is “early 2024.”
