Five years ago, Valkyrae joined a mass of streamers who moved from Twitch to stream exclusively on YouTube. Now, the streamer is headed back to where it all began with a return stream on the Amazon-owned platform in just over a week.
In a new announcement to X (formerly Twitter) today, Valkyrae informed fans that she had ended her final exclusive contract with YouTube and would return to Twitch with her first stream back on Jan. 8.

What happens when you combine the most popular name on YouTube with the most followed person across social media? The answer is that the internet will break, although perhaps not in the way it was intended.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s venture into the YouTube world has attracted a lot of attention, and his latest video with Mr Beast, titled “I meet MrBeast to break the internet,” does exactly what it says on the tin. Unfortunately for them, it’s less about great content and more about reaching astonishing heights of cringe.

Not even a week after his last big controversy, Asmongold is back in the limelight, now waging war against various subreddits that have allegedly blacklisted his entire community. According to the streamer and some of his viewers, just being a member of the Asmongold subreddit would auto-ban you from others.
The first subreddit which allegedly blacklisted Asmongold and his followers was the Dragon Age community. As per a viewer who commented on Asmongold’s Oct. 31 stream, being a member of the streamer’s subreddit would immediately ban you from the Dragon Age sub after just one post. During the stream, he tested these claims, leading to his automatic and permanent removal from the subreddit after he made a post titled: “I’m really excited for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.”

Recent reports have claimed Twitch prevented users in Israel from creating accounts on the livestreaming platform, but Twitch is now denying these accusations. Instead, the platform said the issue stemmed from the email verification process, a problem it has since fixed.
Twitch released a statement yesterday on X (formerly Twitter) denying it had prevented users from signing up to the streaming platform. It admitted, however, to temporarily disabling signups with email verification in both Israel and Palestine following the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas-led terrorist attack on Israel where approximately 1,200 people were killed.

One of the biggest names on Twitch and in the streaming world, Asmongold, has come out with a reflective video and apology regarding his comments about the Palestinian people. The streamer said that he felt “like a stupid asshole” and promised to do better down the line.
The YouTuber and streamer expressed these and other sentiments in an Oct. 16 video, made following his suspension from Twitch after he made several derogatory comments on the Palestinian people. He expressed how Palestinians are “terrible people” with an “inferior culture,” and has now walked back on those statements, acknowledging that they were broad generalizations and not well stated. He also added that, following the ban, he was messaged by people who were either Palestinian themselves or had friends and family in the region, which, as he stated, made him feel like a “stupid, belligerent, fucking asshole.”

Asmongold has been banned from Twitch about two days after a stream where he said he didn’t “give a fuck” about Palestinian people, calling them “terrible people” from an “inferior culture.”
While his main Asmongold channel remains intact, his secondary “zackrawrr” channel that he has been streaming on got hit with the ban “due to a violation of Twitch’s community guidelines or terms of service,” according to the inactive page.

Asmongold acknowledged he was an “asshole” and vowed to “do better” on Oct. 14 after ranting that he had no sympathy for Palestinians because they’re “terrible people” with “an inferior” culture.
The Twitch streamer and part-owner of the OTK Network admitted he made a mistake just hours after his comments on Palestine. “My bad,” he said on X (formerly Twitter). “Of course no one deserves to have their life destroyed even if they do things or have views I find regressive. You guys deserve more than me saying stupid shit like that, I’ll do better.”

In the midst of ongoing conflicts in Palestine and Lebanon, Asmongold decided to let the world know that he has “no sympathy” for the people of Palestine.
Why? Well, because according to Asmongold, they’re “terrible people” from “an inferior culture.” These are just some of comments the streamer decided to put forward to his chat, with further commentary ranging from some assumptions on “sharia law” and what that means to the blanket statement that Palestinians “would be the ones doing the genociding if they had the power to do so.” The statements come against a backdrop of Israel being accused of a myriad human rights violations in Palestine, and the United Nations reporting it’s been weeks since food has made it into Northern Gaza.
