That seems to be the rationale behind The Elder Scrolls Online‘s latest update, which sees the experimental Golden Pursuit system return for round two. If you don’t want to wait for the New Life event to earn festive rewards, look no further.
Golden Pursuits are a bit of an odd feature, but certainly not an unwelcome one; any avenue to earn rewards for free is a good thing, after all. They are, in essence, limited-time optional objectives that any player can compete to earn unique rewards, a little bit like a battle pass but mercifully without having to put money down up front. You’re automatically opted in and probably even earning rewards without realizing it! To check the current list of Golden Pursuits or claim any rewards you’ve accrued, simply open up your group menu (which will be colored gold to clue you in).

There are plenty of options for your companion in ESO.]]>The companion system was added to The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) with the Blackwood DLC in 2021. Since the launch, you can now meet and recruit eight companions in ESO, all of which were added through Chapters.
Since Blackwood, most all Chapter expansions have brought two new companions per DLC: High Island in 2022 and Necrom in 2023. Although Gold Road didn’t have its own additions like those Chapters that came before it, Update 44 hit live servers on Oct. 28 and introduced two new companions to the game.

Expect to see the battlegrounds shift from its three-sided format to two sides in ESO Update 44, with two main types of matches now available: Four vs. four, where two teams of four compete, and eight vs. eight, where two teams of eight battle. There are seven new maps to battle on, which is pretty exciting for those who enjoy PvP content.

A whole new feature, changes to the Infinite Archive, and new rewards.]]>Update 43 is bringing two main changes and a big set of new rewards to the Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). PC players will get the update on Aug. 19, while Xbox and PlayStation consoles get it next month on Sept. 4, but the changes remain the same on all platforms.
We’ll cover only the main changes we already know are coming with Update 43, but if you want to know everything it will add to ESO, you can check the Update 43 early patch notes. The patch note for the update will probably be released when it’s live on Aug. 19.
