Less than an hour after reports of Microsoft\u2019s new strategy to bring Xbox-exclusive games to other platforms got a massive update, a second bomb dropped with news Indiana Jones and the Great Circle<\/em> could also hit PlayStation 5 at some point in the future.<\/p>
The Verge<\/a> today reported Microsoft is internally weighing which titles from its current and upcoming exclusives library should be launched on other consoles, including Nintendo’s handheld Switch and Sony’s PS5. This includes plans to release Bethesda and MachineGames\u2019 Indiana Jones and the Great Circle<\/a><\/em> on PS5 at some point after its Xbox and PC debut.<\/p>

The newest Indiana Jones <\/em>game is slated to release at some point in late 2024<\/a> and was lined up to be a massive exclusive for Xbox, with its usual day-and-date PC strategy still in place. New reports point to Microsoft and the Xbox team having an \u201cintense debate internally\u201d in building a new plan where select games will be released with some form of delay on other consoles.<\/p>
Starfield <\/em>is the other big-name title that will reportedly be getting a PS5 release<\/a> at some point soon, and Hi-Fi Rush <\/em>and Sea of Thieves <\/em>are also expected to make the leap. The Verge also noted the Hi-Fi Rush <\/em>port, which is expected for Switch and PS5, could be announced \u201cin the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>
Despite this change in approach, Xbox chief executive Phil Spencer said the company had no plans to bring Game Pass to other gaming platforms<\/a> like PlayStation or Switch back in December. That said, those ideas may have gone completely out the window if internal plans have shifted heavily since, and, considering Microsoft laid off roughly 1,900 employees<\/a> in its gaming division in January, drastic changes seem more likely.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
