After teasing it last year, Riot Games has officially announced the LEC Roadtrip, a new initiative that will bring League matches directly to fans across EMEA. This initiative aims to expand the reach of the LEC beyond its usual 200-seat Berlin venue, allowing fans to experience the LEC closer to home\u2014something many have been requesting for a long time. For those who are thinking of what will happen to the Summer Roadshow, Riot also confirmed that while the new LEC Roadtrip is an exciting new addition to the league\u2019s calendar, it will not replace the traditional LEC Roadshow, which will take place at the conclusion of the Summer Split. The first stop of the Roadtrip will take place in Madrid on April 26 and 27, where Movistar KOI will welcome the LEC to the Madrid Arena for two days. The hometeam will face off against Fnatic, while G2 Esports will take on GIANTX---who also have a big Spanish fanbase. The matches will switch the following day, Sunday, with the lineup of G2 facing Fnatic, while Movistar KOI will go up against GIANTX.\u00a0 According to Riot, Movistar KOI has also promised additional festivities, with more details to be revealed closer to the dates. Just two weeks later, the Roadtrip will head to \u00c9vry, just outside Paris, where Karmine Corp will host another weekend of action-packed games at Les Ar\u00e8nes on May 10 and 11.\u00a0 Saturday\u2019s matches will see G2 take on SK Gaming, while KC will battle against their longstanding French rivals, Team Vitality. The following day, Vitality will face SK before KC steps up against G2 in a match expected to draw major numbers on-site and online. And just like Movistar KOI, KC has additional surprises in store, with further details to be revealed in the coming weeks. All LEC Roadtrip matches will be broadcast on regular LEC channels and co-stream partner platforms. But onto the information fans might want the most: ticket pricing. Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp will manage ticket pricing and availability, respectively, with updates to be shared through their social media channels. And for all the other Spring Split matches scheduled for the same gameweek as the LEC Roadshow, Riot confirmed that they\u2019ll continue as usual at the Arena in Berlin.
