Overwatch’s<\/em> big story-based lore event is now live.<\/p>
The event, called Overwatch<\/em> Archives, brings a new playable brawl alongside last year’s Overwatch<\/em> Uprising mode. Overwatch<\/em> Retribution, the new lore addition, pits four Blackwatch members\u2014Moira, McCree, Reaper, and Genji\u2014against an army of Talon units. It’s a look back at a defining moment in the Overwatch organization’s history.<\/p>

With Overwatch<\/em> Retribution, players get to enter the mind of Gabriel Reyes before he went full Reaper. It’s similar in nature to Overwatch<\/em> Uprising, which let players take over Tracer’s first mission. But this year, the event doesn’t take place on an existing map; Blizzard is bringing players to a brand new map called Rialto, which is set in Venice. The map will become available as a regular map<\/a> after a short period on the Overwatch<\/em> PTR.<\/p>
The new event doesn’t push Overwatch’s<\/em> story forward<\/a>, and instead takes the game to the past once again. Overwatch<\/em> Archives and the Overwatch<\/em> Retribution brawl will be available until April 30.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
