Astralis, one of the biggest organizations in Counter Strike: Global Offensive<\/em>, is set to join the League of Legends<\/em> scene as part of the EU LCS’s new franchising model, according to a report<\/a> from ESPN’s Jacob Wolf.<\/p>
As part of joining the league, Astralis will have to pay Riot Games 10.5 million euros over multiple years for the franchise slot. Astralis would also become one of the five new reported teams to join the league after ESPN reported<\/a> that Splyce, Roccat, Giants Gaming, Unicorns of Love, and H2k were all denied spots in the EU LCS next year.<\/p>
If the report is true, then the EU LCS might have already found Deficio’s replacement on the EU LCS broadcasting lineup. LPL color caster\u00a0Indiana \u201cFroskurinn\u201d Juniper Black recently announced<\/a> that she was joining the EU LCS team. Froskurinn could possibly be Deficio’s replacement.<\/p>
