This effect has traditionally been connected to your Guardian Games: Competitive Nightfall playlist score. But it's unclear if Supremacy and class-vs-class Gambit impact it (it's unlikely). To keep track of your standings, you can head into the Quests tab in your Director and look for the two Guardian Games-related quests: Shoot to Score (related to the Guardian Games: Competitive Nightfall playlist) and Vying for Supremacy, which teaches you the ropes of the Supremacy limited-time PvP playlist. The quests give you an idea of how well you're faring against the rest of the community, and they display the highest score you got this week.
