One of the oldest rules in WoW <\/em>is that the better you look, the more damage you deal. I\u2019m sorry, I don\u2019t make \u2018em up. What I do know, though, is that the level of confidence you gain when wearing a top-notch set of gear\u2014whether it\u2019s pre-made by Blizzard or self-curated\u2014is something that every WoW <\/em>player deserves to experience.\u00a0<\/p>
Before the age of transmogrification (introduced in Patch 4.3 in 2011), armor sets were the ultimate way to look badass in WoW<\/em>. Completing a full set meant you had put more time into the game than the average player, and you had literal walking proof of it. Now, most armor sets (aside from those in the current raid tier) are purely cosmetic. But if you want to live in the past and display your favorite look from a time gone by, you can still do so through transmog<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>
While there is an endless amount of armor sets that could make this list, we chose the top five that could be easily agreed on as at least <\/em>contenders by the majority of the player base. These sets are either visually appealing, historically significant, or massively popular\u2014and usually all of the above.
