The biggest system change is the inclusion of a new mechanic added to the Z Change, or the ability to swap between characters mid-match. This feature will now let players tag out while using special moves, which was previously not an option.

Goichi “GO1” Kishida reverse swept Dominique “SonicFox” McLean in a hectic grand final today after originally sending him to the losers bracket to end the tournament undefeated. The two had been dominant throughout the whole competition, with no other player coming close to beating them. But GO1 was the better of the two at the end of the day and will head home with the title in his hands.

SSGSS Gogeta was also showcased.]]>Bandai Namco has confirmed that the next character being added to Dragon Ball FighterZ is Janemba—and he’s coming to the game soon.
He’s expected to be released on Aug. 8 on all major platforms and will be the fourth DLC character in the second season of content. SSGSS Gogeta was also briefly shown in the same trailer but a release date wasn’t revealed.

This version, however, is slightly different than the rest. According to Japanese blog ryokutya2089, this month’s issue of Japan’s popular anime magazine V-Jump will reveal that the kid version of Goku from Dragon Ball GT will be added to the game as paid DLC.

This Pride Trooper is ready to join the fight.]]>The first DLC character for Dragon Ball FighterZ’s second season has been revealed—and it’s none other than Universe 11’s Jiren.
The character first appeared in Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power ark as one of the main antagonists to the Z Fighters. Hailing from Universe 11, Jiren is part of the Pride Troopers that protect their universe and he’s the strongest fighter in the Tournament of Power.
