The Esports World Cup<\/strong> entered August with a bang, opening the second half of the massive celebration of esports with Rainbow Six Siege<\/em> on July 31. 16 teams from across the globe battled for one of the largest prize pools in the esport’s history\u2014a massive $2 million USD<\/strong>.<\/p>
Teams also competed for EWC Club Championship points<\/a> on their way to the major prize. It was the third top-tier tournament of the calendar year for Rainbow Six<\/a><\/em> and set up the road to Montreal for the BLAST Major in November.<\/p>
