Pok\u00e9mon Worlds kicked off in Hawaii on Aug. 16 with eight rounds of Swiss for the best VGC players in the world. Out of all the VGC competitors in attendance, only three came out with perfect 8-0 records. One of them was the 2016 world champion and beloved content creator Wolfe Glick. Going undefeated in eight rounds of Swiss is already super impressive, but Glick revealed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that he didn\u2019t even drop a single game in any of his best-of-three sets. In other words, the former world champ 2-0\u2019d all of his opponents so far. \u201cThis tournament is far from over but I\u2019m extremely proud of this start and looking forward to playing more Pokemon tomorrow,\u201d he wrote. Now, the stream featured a lot of great matches on day one, including one between two other VGC legends, Aaron \u201cCybertron\u201d Zheng and Sejun Park (with Pachirisu, of course). However, none of Glick\u2019s eight wins were shown on stream\u2014which is a little odd. Generally, the stream highlights either well-known players, former champions, or competitors with great records at the event, and Glick checks all of those boxes. But perhaps not going on stream helped him stay locked in. After all, Glick previously mentioned he wouldn\u2019t be doing any photos or autographs to \u201cfocus 100% on competing this year\u201d until he was out of the tournament. And so far, that seems to be working out perfectly for him. Following Glick\u2019s strong performance throughout day one, he finally made a stream appearance on day two for Swiss round nine.
