Seth “Scump” Abner, Ian “Crimsix” Porter, Sam “Octane” Larew, and Anthony “Methodz” Zinni kicked off\u00a0CoD\u00a0<\/em>Champs 2018 with two wins. They took down Elevate 3-1<\/a> on Wednesday and swept<\/a> Supremacy in their first match on Thursday.<\/p>

But in their second series today, OpTic ran into Patrick “ACHES” Price and Evil Geniuses. ACHES is known for<\/a> eliminating the Green Wall from CoD\u00a0<\/em>Champs\u2014and that’s exactly what he did today.<\/p>
After losing to Elevate<\/a> earlier today, ACHES, Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov, Adam “Assault” Garcia, and Justin “SiLLY” Fargo-Palmer needed a big victory over OpTic to keep their own\u00a0CoD<\/em> Champs hopes alive.\u00a0<\/p>
Evil Geniuses opened up their showdown with OpTic by taking Gibraltar Hardpoint 250-205<\/a>. They followed this up with a 6-3<\/a> win on Ardennes Forest Search and Destroy. With a 2-0 series lead, Evil Geniuses secured the sweep with a strong second half on Ardennes Forest Capture the Flag, leading to a\u00a02-1<\/a>\u00a0victory in map three.<\/p>
