In another dose of 2019 off-season action, EU LCS, or should we say LEC, Misfits Gaming has picked up Worlds finalist and former Fnatic top laner Paul “sOAZ” Boyer, according to an ESPN report today.

The org is also working on a buyout for Clutch Gaming mid laner Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten, and coach Jesse “Jesiz” Le will be moving to the team’s head coach position. Misfits later confirmed that Febiven is joining the team, but has yet to mention sOAZ.

Jesiz, on the other hand, is taking over as the team’s head coach after joining Misfits as a coach at the end of the 2018 Spring Split. Jesiz has a long career in League esports, albeit not as storied or successful as sOAZ’s career. Jesiz has played for Fnatic, SK Gaming, G2 Esports, and more. He’s also worked in other roles for teams such as Dignitas and Immortals. Originally, ESPN reported that he would be the team’s starting support, only to correct itself later to state that he will now be Misfits’ head coach.
