The game does have a multiplayer feature, but it's limited. This new HoYoverse game is a fantasy RPG set in space. Players can meet tons of characters like in\u00a0Genshin Impact\u00a0and explore different worlds while battling against the evil forces of the galaxy. It follows the story of its predecessor,\u00a0Honkai Impact 3rd, so fans will recognize familiar faces while meeting new ones. It is similar to\u00a0Genshin Impact\u00a0in the sense it is also a gacha game with action RPG elements. Does Honkai: Star Rail have co-op? Honkai Star Rail players can add friends in the game, but there isn't a co-op mode, meaning they won't be able to play together like in Genshin. They can play together in a different way, though. Is there multiplayer in Honkai: Star Rail? Honkai: Star Rail still has multiplayer in some capacity. After adding a friend, players can use one of their Support Characters as a temporary member in their party. The Support can only be borrowed to use in Calyxes and Caverns of Corrosion. Don't expect to take advantage of a friend's higher level. Support Character's levels are adjusted to a player's level once picked. Still, this feature can benefit players and their friends because every time a player uses a friend's Support Character, they receive Credits. Related: Is Honkai: Star Rail free to play? For players who wish to use a Support Character but don't have any friends on their list, the game picks a random list of players from which to choose. It can be refreshed if none of the characters are desirable. For that reason, it's a good idea to set a strong character as a Support Character to earn Credits on the side by appearing on the random list. How to set and use a Support Character in Honkai: Star Rail To set any character as a Support Character, open the menu and select the Trailblazer Profile. Then open the Support Character tab and choose one of the characters from the list. To borrow a Support Character, enter any Calyx or Cavern of Corrosion and select the Challenge button to head to the character selection. Before starting the challenge, click on the green \"Support\" button on the right. Honkai Star Rail players can add friends in the game, but there isn't a co-op mode, meaning they won't be able to play together like in Genshin. They can play together in a different way, though. Is there multiplayer in Honkai: Star Rail? Honkai: Star Rail still has multiplayer in some capacity. After adding a friend, players can use one of their Support Characters as a temporary member in their party. The Support can only be borrowed to use in Calyxes and Caverns of Corrosion. Don't expect to take advantage of a friend's higher level. Support Character's levels are adjusted to a player's level once picked. Still, this feature can benefit players and their friends because every time a player uses a friend's Support Character, they receive Credits. Related: Is Honkai: Star Rail free to play? For players who wish to use a Support Character but don't have any friends on their list, the game picks a random list of players from which to choose. It can be refreshed if none of the characters are desirable. For that reason, it's a good idea to set a strong character as a Support Character to earn Credits on the side by appearing on the random list. How to set and use a Support Character in Honkai: Star Rail To set any character as a Support Character, open the menu and select the Trailblazer Profile. Then open the Support Character tab and choose one of the characters from the list. To borrow a Support Character, enter any Calyx or Cavern of Corrosion and select the Challenge button to head to the character selection. Before starting the challenge, click on the green \"Support\" button on the right.
