Here's when it starts, as well as a countdown of how many days we have to wait for the new patch. Fortnite Chapter Five, season two featured some great content, bringing skins for Greek Gods into the scene with the latest battle pass and enjoying a bumper crossover with Star Wars, and there's plenty of excitement for Chapter Five, season three. Teases and mini-events in Fortnite have begun the countdown to the launch of the next major update, and you can see exactly how long is left until the drop below. When does Fortnite Chapter Five, season three start? The end date of season two was confirmed in the battle pass, and following some downtime, Fortnite will immediately launch into a new season on Friday, May 24. The update should follow the same pattern as previous major patches: The season will end, the game will enter downtime, and a few hours later, the new update will be live for players to enjoy. Teases and mini-events in Fortnite have begun the countdown to the launch of the next major update, and you can see exactly how long is left until the drop below. When does Fortnite Chapter Five, season three start? The end date of season two was confirmed in the battle pass, and following some downtime, Fortnite will immediately launch into a new season on Friday, May 24. The update should follow the same pattern as previous major patches: The season will end, the game will enter downtime, and a few hours later, the new update will be live for players to enjoy. Downtime almost always starts at 2am CT, so we've set the countdown timer below to that exact time. We'll be sure to update this post if Epic announces any changes.
