The companion system was added to The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO)<\/em> with the Blackwood<\/em> DLC in 2021. Since the launch, you can now meet and recruit eight companions <\/strong>in <\/strong>ESO<\/em>, all of which were added through Chapters.<\/p>
Since Blackwood<\/em>, most all Chapter expansions have brought two new companions per DLC: High Island <\/em>in 2022 and Necrom<\/em> in 2023. Although Gold Road<\/a><\/em> didn’t have its own additions like those Chapters that came before it, Update 44 hit live servers on Oct. 28 and introduced two new companions to the game.<\/p>
